Helping make Wilder Gardens for local biodiversity and landscape scale

Introducing: Wilder Gardens

    The Mission for 2025

Building on our work connecting people to share gardens through Patch-Matches, we’re now expanding our mission to help everyone—whether they’re active gardeners or just starting out—transform their gardens into thriving, wildlife-friendly spaces.

Together, we’re creating a community-driven rewilding project on a larger, landscape scale.

By working hand in hand, we can make our neighborhoods greener, healthier, and more vibrant—not just for locals, but for visitors and wildlife alike.

    We Won

But nature still needs our help, and there’s plenty of work to do. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Wilder Gardens, a new garden network for nature recovery by Lend and Tend.

The UK’s innovation accelerator for cities, transport, and place leadership, Connected Places Catapult, announced us and our new project as one of the enterprises to be supported on to the Design to Deliver programme to develop new design-led ideas to help regenerate nature.

Wilder Gardens empowers garden owners—active or inactive—to rewild their spaces and support biodiversity. By using local data and connecting neighbors, groups, and resources, small individual efforts can grow into a collective movement for wildlife.

We’re proud to be part of this journey to make better biodiversity choices second nature for us all.

  • The Pilot Project.

In partnership with Connected Places Catapult and Key Location Partner ‘We Can Make’ in Knowle West, Bristol, we’re proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with the local community to tackle climate change.

Together, we aim to drive a rewilding movement, starting in back gardens and extending across the landscape, fostering biodiversity and creating a greener, more sustainable future for all.
