Our Pledge:
Data Protection
In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1988, you should be aware that the personal information you choose to provide will not be passed to any person or organisation outside of Lend and Tend (unless we have your consent, or where we have a legal obligation or have the statutory powers to do so).
We will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Our Aims
Lend and Tend operates to benefit the spirit of community, individual garden Tenders in the quest to garden; individual garden Lenders in the quest to utilise garden space and our wildlife and the environment.
Our Thanks and our new membership offer
We appreciate the time you take to register your interest. If you do wish to take part we shall endeavour to fulfil your express wishes finding you a suitable ‘Patch-Match’ as soon as we can!
For 10 years Lend and Tend operated on a purely voluntary donation basis only. We could not have continued our garden-sharing mission to get unloved gardens gardened without these kind donations from you our supporters. From the bottom of our hearts, at the bottom of our gardens; Thank you.
However, it’s difficult to plan and contribute where we want to in society when we don’t know what to expect. So, to continue our work and support the communities where we work, the model of Lend and Tend has had to evolve to an annual membership-based subscription, of £24. This way, we can plan and grow with you our members, and we’ll also give 50% of our profits to the community organisations and charities where we work.
We can also offer a pay-it-forward option for those able to afford it, where you can buy an extra membership (£24 annually) for a ‘friend’. This sponsors someone else’s membership to Lend and Tend and the Patch-Matching service for a year, for those less able to shoulder the cost. You can also support our community, without getting your hands dirty or doing any gardening at all by donating anything anytime via PayPal below.
